Studiengang:
M.Sc. Combustion Engines

"The social get-togethers organized by the master office provide the students from different batches with a platform to interact with each other, and provide them a view of the German traditions."

We asked one of our recent graduates Abhinav Sharma, who is recently doing his doctoral studies as a PhD student at the Combustion Engines institure of RWTH Aachen University, what state in your mind about ...

... Your choice to study Master's at RWTH Aachen University

"My first introduction to RWTH Aachen was in 2004, when I came here to work on a summer-project during undergraduate study. Having worked in the automotive industry in India for a year after my graduation, I decided to specialize in the field of combustion. I initially joined RWTH Aachen as a non-degree student under the guidance of Pro. N. Peters. He recommended me to join the Combustion Engines program. The biggest motivation for me to pursue the master's degree at RWTH Aachen, was the possibility to continue working in the workgroup of one of the most renowned professors in the field of my interest."

… Your Study Programme Combustion Engines

“The study programme is very specialized and focuses on the field of combustion engines. The students can learn a lot more in their fields of interest, if they opt to work as a student assistant at the various institutes of the University. Such work also helps the students in aligning themselves for industrial internship and the two theses which are an essential part of the curriculum.”

… Your benefits of the International Academy’s Master Office

“The master office is very supportive for the students, and puts its best foot forward to help the students. The social get-togethers organized by the master office provide the students from different batches with a platform to interact with each other, and provide them a view of the German traditions. The master office acts as the administrative contact as well as a social coach for the students.”

… And last but not least, what is your advice for prospective students

“You should be very sure of your interests if you want to study at RWTH Aachen. RWTH provides you with opportunities and freedom to specialize in the fields of your interest. How well you can gain from it, is completely dependent on your own initiative.”
