To achieve a Master of Science in "Production Systems Engineering", students have to satisfy certain requirements by taking compulsory courses and elective courses. The compulsory subjects cover the fundamentals of Production Systems Engineering, such as Welding and Joining Technologies, Manufacturing Technology, Machine Tools, Production Management, Quality Management as well as Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics and Work Organisation.
For the elective subjects students can choose from one of several possibilities in the fields of Logistics, Virtual Machine Tools, Advanced Software Engineering, Machine Design Process, Tribology, Production Metrology, Modelling, Mechatronics or Control Engineering.
In addition to the course work, students must also complete the following as part of their programme:
- A complementary German course (to be completed with the DSM exam)
- A master thesis
