Master's College Textile Engineering

Germany is worldwide the primary location in researching and developing new technologies in mechanical engineering industries, textile production and technical textiles. Why don't you boost your career perspectives on the German job market by developing the necessary German language skills in our Master's College for prospective Textile Engineering students?

In the degree programme M.Sc. Textile Engineering, the compulsory courses are taught in English, while most of the elective courses and research projects starting in the 2nd semester are conducted in German.

The programme is being taught bilingually in order to prepare the Textile Engineering students for a possible future career in the German textile industry.

International applicants must therefore inherit basic German language skills (B1) upon the time of enrolment in October.

Master's College Textile Engineering - be smart, take a smooth start!

The RWTH International Academy will offer a preparatory Textile Engineering Master's College with German language courses as well as technical courses prior to the start of the semester.

From 2016, students will have the chance to acquire the requested German knowledge until the B1 level prior to the beginning of the master programme at the RWTH Aachen University.

The RWTH International Academy will offer a Master's College for Textile students with a preparatory German Course and bridging technical courses. The courses will start in Mid-June and run until the beginning of the official semester in Mid-October.

Right after the admission in March, students without any prior knowledge will have to prepare themselves in order to complete the A1 level before they come to Aachen in June.

The German courses in Aachen will start off with the level A2.1 in June and will take place every day, Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day. Students will finish the classes with the required B1 level in October.

Next to the German courses, students will have the chance to cover missing technical knowledge in thermodynamics, mechanics and machine design to fulfil the admission requirements.

In addition, during their free time, the students will be included in a social programme with excursions and events to get to know the city and university.
